One True Love

I wrote this on the spot, trying to explain something to my friend. I totally and completely believe it's all true, if you let it be.

(OTL = One True Love)

You may not meet your OTL in your living lifetime, and you may not have even heard of your OTL in your lifetime. Your OTL might not be born yet. But your OTL is someone who you would die to save, someone you could not live without. When they die, you must die, if you're together within your life time. You may know your OTL and love them with a different sort of love, but it's never enough. (It's like imprinting[Twilight] that way.) Your OTL might be your grandchild. You might never know your OTL, but then you die and go to the "after-life" and your OTL may be waiting for you there. You may be the one to wait for your OTL. It's common to find people finding their OTLs in books -- their true OTLs, the ones they couldn't live without. It's much less common in real life, but not completely unheard of. Your OTL is the basis for the people you kid yourself into believing are your love. maybe your OTL has a specific physical feature -- most of your "loves" will have it too. Maybe their personality's the strongest point. Whatever it is, you look for it in your possible partners, and it is what draws you to them. You're looking for your OTL in every one. You'll know, when you truly find it. You won't necessarily be able to recognize your OTL at first glance, but that's what love at first sight is -- the glimse of your OTL, for the first time.
