Sci Fi Movies and Elves

Okay so today I spent all day watching movies on Sci Fi. Literally, I woke up at like noon, ate breakfast, and then watched 3-4 movies in a row, it depends on how you count them. And of course, somehow, watching a city get destroyed by dragons prompts me to write about my elves. I've had the idea (and developed it) that I either write about the non-royalty elves within wherever-the-Leginai-live, or write about an elf being a servant in human-land, because I sorta had the idea of teaching someone Leginai-mar (or a Leginai-mar fluent person learning English becase the Leginain of course speak Leginai-mar but that's a little too hard so I gave up on it), so I'm leaning towards the 2nd one. And actually, I sorta have a story for that. But the story I have is more of a, I-am-an-influental-and-royal-elf-who-self-banished-herself-because-the-elf-I-loved-is-dead-and-I-thought-I'd-really-rather-raise-my-baby-away-from-this-but-it-turns-out-being-with-my-fellow-Elves-is-a-slightly-better-idea-so-I'm-going-to-drag-this-human-who-looks-like-the-elf-I-loved-along-on-my-journey-back-to-Elf-land-but-he's-actually-kinda-forcing-me-to-take-him-along-but-yeah-this-is-my-story plot. And then I have to deal with a baby, or a preggers elf, or other not fun things. I think I'm going to stick to a plain old elf for some reason becoming a human royal's maid. Should be interesting, no?

Sorry 'bout the cursing. My right brain's on, and when it's on, I curse. A hell of a lot. Especially when I have something to be pissed about. Like now.

James Norrington has no age. I mean, I'm guessing he's somewhere in his thirties, seeing as he seems 8-10 years older than Lizzie in the beginning of the first movie and she's about twelve (?). Then that movie takes place 8 years after they came over, making him late 20s-early 30s. Then, Jack Sparrow's somewhere in his 30s during the movies... at least according to all of the fan sites.

If anyone knows how old either Norrie or Jack is, I'd love to know.

New Year's Resolutions

Well. Happy New Year, even though I'm a little late. I hope everyone had a good holiday, got some good gifts, and are managing to get back to the daily grind without too much of an interruption. I'm going to make some New Year's Resolutions now, and try to keep to them.

1. I will write more. In fact, I'll try to write something every single day, so that my writing brain doesn't get out of practice. This means more stories, whether fanfic or original, to be pouring from my brain in the near future. Hopefully.
2. I will be more active than I have been in the past. Come spring I plan on walking home from school again. That seemed to work pretty well for me this past fall.
3. I will work hard to keep my grades, rather than just floating along at the A-B range. This sounds sorta conceited, I know, but in December I gave up caring more than a little bit... and not a single one of my grades has gone up since last quarter.

Yup, that's it. But they're actually pretty loaded, however easy it might be for me to do them. I just don't. I find excuses not to. I watch too much TV. I make feeble excuses of why it makes more sense for me to take the bus when I can just about get home at the same time regardless of which way I go home. I just don't put forth any effort whatsoever. With a little work and determination, I can get these things done, and be all the better off for it.
